a discussion and demonstration of the way Kathie approaches her canvas in a
painting. You will receive one on one instruction in composition, color, paint
application and drawing and have plenty of time to paint. We will be painting at different sights in scenic Vernon County Wisconsin. All skill-levels welcome

Artist’s Plein Air Adventure in Crete

This weeklong Plein Air painting trip, designed for fun and artistic creativity, will feature several days each in the towns of Matala and Agia Galini along the south-central coast of Crete. Matala is a lovely beach resort town, whereas Agia Galini as a picturesque harbor town dramatically situated on a mountainside. During this workshop, we will cover drawing and composition in a painting, light and shadow, color and temperature, edges and paint application, while staying true to your own unique way of seeing. Included will be tours of the ancient Minoan palaces of Knossos and Phaistos, sea kayaking and a visit to the Heraklion Archeological Musem. Activity options along with formal instruction and critics make this an enjoyable trip for both the painter and their companion. All skill levels welcome. We'll stay in simple, clean Greek hotels with balconies, and feast on delicious and healthy cuisine.
